Privacy Policy

What this site collects, what it does not, and how third-party services are involved.

EventID is a static website. There are no accounts, no comment forms, and no newsletter. This page explains the small amount of data that does pass through the site.

Data the site itself stores

Nothing. The site is a set of static files. There is no database, no login, and no cookie set by EventID itself.

Server logs

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the request data needed to deliver a page and to block abuse: IP address, requested URL, user agent, timestamp. This is standard infrastructure logging, retained according to Cloudflare’s own policies. I do not build profiles from it and do not sell it.

Analytics

No third-party analytics script is embedded in these pages. Aggregate traffic figures come from the hosting provider’s own dashboard.

Advertising

Advertising is not currently enabled. If ads are added later, they may be served by Google AdSense, which uses cookies and device identifiers to select and measure ads. In that case:

  • Google’s use of advertising cookies is described at Google’s advertising policies.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ad Settings.
  • Readers in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland will be shown a consent notice before any non-essential cookie is set.

This page will be updated on the day advertising goes live, not before.

Some outbound links may be affiliate links, meaning the site may earn a commission if you sign up for a service through them. This never changes what a page recommends, and affiliate links are disclosed near the link or in the surrounding text.

Pages link to Microsoft documentation and other sites. Those sites have their own privacy policies; once you leave EventID, this one no longer applies.

Children

The site is written for system administrators and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If the data practices above change, the date at the top of this page changes with them.
